Lightweight hydrodynamics and a 25 kW powertrain tuned for rapid acceleration and sustained race-pace performance.
Battery-electric power delivers competitive racing performance, zero emissions, near-silent running..
// ELECTRIC CATAMARAN
Our electric catamaran exploits an advanced battery system — delivering exceptional performance while maintaining zero emissions throughout the race.
Discover the technology behind our catamaran, meet the people building it, or join the mission yourself.
A multidisciplinary crew of Politecnico di Torino students turning electric ambition into a race-ready catamaran.
Our electric catamaran represents the cutting edge of sustainable marine technology. Powered by a combination of electric engines and advanced battery systems, it delivers exceptional performance while maintaining zero emissions.
Our catamaran runs on a fully electric drivetrain built around a custom 29S NMC lithium-ion battery pack managed by a high-current BMS. A DC-DC conversion stage regulates power delivery to an active cooling system and the engine trim, while the entire power distribution architecture is designed in-house to maximize performance during acceleration, cruise, and maneuvering phases of the race.
The cockpit, battery box, transom, and structural components of our catamaran are entirely handmade by our team using carbon fiber composite. From mold preparation and fiber cutting to wet lay-up and vacuum bagging, every part is built in-house without industrial automation. This hands-on approach lets us iterate quickly on design and layup schedules while maintaining full control over weight, stiffness, and build quality.
A custom telemetry system built on Raspberry Pi streams live data from every critical subsystem during races. CAN bus networks collect readings from the BMS and motor controller, while dedicated sensors monitor temperatures, GPS position, and inertial dynamics. All data is logged on board and transmitted in real time, giving our engineering team immediate insight to optimize strategy and ensure safe operation on the water.
We are grateful for the support of our partners who share our vision for sustainable marine technology and help make our participation in the Monaco Energy Boat Challenge possible.
